in the Queen Anne Stakes.Canford Cliffs is unbeaten at Royal Ascot having won the Coventry at 2,the St.James,s Palace Stakes at 3,and the Queen Anne at 4.

It's so good to see a horse like Canford Cliffs kept in training as a 4 year old and he did not disappoint in the Lockinge Stakes at Newbury winning his only start so far this year in impressive fashion. Goldikova has also come back as a 6 year old mare showing no signs of slowing down in winning the Prix d'Ispahan at Longchamp. It's a race you normally just dream about but hopefully the two will meet in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Canford Cliffs won the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood in great fashion over last years winner Rip Van Winkle. It would be great if he could race over a mile against super mare Goldikova but it looks like it will never happen. His trainer Richard Hannon thinks he would be even better as a 4 year old and if the decision is made to run him next season then he probably has run his last race this year. If not then the QE11 at Ascot would be his next and final race.

After his very impressive win in the Irish 2000 Guineas, Canford Cliffs came back in the St. James Palace Stakes to turn the tables on Makfi and his stablemate Dick Turpin. He has matured a lot and looks the best 3 year old miler in Europe. The Sussex Stakes at Goodwood should be his next start.

Connections of Canford Cliffs never lost faith in the horse winning a Group 1 at a mile and what a great race the St.James Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot should be this year.
