That should be enough to make him champion 2 year old. The second place finisher Roderic O'Connor is also by Galileo and looks to have a future too.

Frankel is unbeaten in four starts and is already a very short priced favourite for the first English Classic, the 2000 Gunieas next May. A very exciting colt, unless he doesn't train on he should become one of the all time greats.

winning the Royal Lodge Stakes at Ascot by 10 lengths. His dam,Kind was very fast up to 6 furlongs and his sire Galileo

was a group one winner up to 12 furlongs so it looks like a

good combination of speed and stamina. The Royal Lodge is a

group two and it looks like he will be tested in a group one

either the Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket or the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster before being put away for the winter.

Although the competition was not the best, he was convincing. I should say he is a three-quarter brother to Bullet Train who won the Lingfield Derby Trial, and I will be following Frankel with great interest to see if he can win the big one at Epsom next June.

to a good start.Always travelling well in the one mile contest at Newmarket,he was never asked a serious question and went on to win

in a very workmanlike manner. His main objective as a 2 year old will either be the Dewhurst Stakes

back at Newmarket or the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster.

At least the dam of the winner, Workforce,Soviet Moon was by Sadler's Wells so it was still some consolation and the way he won he certainly looks like a force to be reckoned with. Great training job by Sir Micheal Stoute.
