Agreed, this will be interesting to revisit the subject at the end of the season as there are several potential stars emerging in this crop.

Smart Strike is an excellent sire, and I think Lookin At Lucky has a great shot to repeat as champion this season. It will be an exciting Haskell with him in it..

I'd skip them all. The Belmont race was a joke. No horse that runs 12f in 2:32 can claim to have "gotten" the distance. There are so many more talented horses from the last five years, I cannot imagine why anyone would consider this mediocre group to breed to(I i include Eskandreya who beat absolutely nothing in his two big races in average times. The fact that he won by eleven says more about the competition than the winner.)

Danzig had 3 starts, missed the classics, Mr. P ran 2nd in the Trial, missed the classics. They did OK in the shed. Eskendereya is the horse to breed to. He will always have the Almahmoud Cross, 2D, through both sisters Cosmah (Halo) and Natalmah (Northern D). Its a complete No Brainer actually. But on a world wide basis, in Europe, for the 3YO dominant stallion of the future, look at Workforce who comes from Sister Sarah, 14C, the dam of both Lady Angela(Nearctic) & Lady Sybil.
