Looking at Distorted Humor's race record , it truly amazes me at the incredible sire he has turned into ! He now has sired a winner in each of the triple crown races ! Looking at Drosselmeyer's Dosage ,i'ts easy to see him winning at 1 1/2 miles. His dosage of 1.75 seems well balanced 7B 2I 10C 2S 1P . His time was one of the slowest i've seen in awhile. The Belmont continues to be a hard race to analyze

I'm happy for WinStar getting another classic win. It's great to see them succeed given what they have put into the industry.

The Belmont was a slow race, yes. The track was deep and was playing slow, and it didn't help that First Dude slowed the pace to nearly 1:15. Interesting, the Epsom Derby was run in a faster time than the Belmont, for once.

Drosselmeyer probably isn't ideally a 12-furlong horse, but his style fit this race. He stands to keep improving as the season goes on, as do several others.

let's not paint this picture too bright alright. in the belmont, he was best of a lousy, slow bunch. the 94 beyer given was generous and should of been in the 80's - yuck.

Any horse can get any distance if it's against the right company.

Just a sad lot.

I'm hoping too for Afleet Alex's kids to win next year! I'm a believer! Afleet Alex is my all-time 2nd favorite horse - after CURLIN, of course! :-)

ATipp! Ian, what did you think of Drosselmeyer's win?

I'm pretty happy about it. Nice for both Mott and Mike Smith to get a Belmont win! A nice ri, clean ride! And Drosselmeyer looks like CURLIN quite a bit - beautiful chestnut! :-)

I think it was a team effort for Drosselmeyer and Mike Smith. They both did a great job. That's what it takes for the long Belmont stretch, jockey and horse talking to one another in sync. Well on to next year and hoping for Afleet Alex's kids to win the Triple Crown. Just "believe" Afleet Alex fans!
