I love looking at old Racing Forms and Race Progams ! I have a program from the 1989 Preakness ! I bet $2 to win on Sunday Silence and kept the ticket ! It was a terribly hot day at Pimlico! I remember my handicapping strategy that day , bet Desormeaux ! He ruled the Maryland circuits back then ! I have had offers for the program and ticket but, For a thoroughbred lover like me , I'ts priceless :)

She didn't return until the end of December, running twice before beating Convenience in the 7f Santa Monica H. (gr. II) in January; Convenience defeated Tizna in the 8.5f Santa Maria H. (gr. II) in February; then Tizna beat Convenience again in the 9f Santa Margarita (gr. I) in March.

I love looking through charts of old distaff stakes and seeing just how frequently the stakes fillies of yesteryear show up in the pedigrees of later stars!

Their relative lack of influence today prevents some from appreciating their true quality.
