The connections of St.Trinians should be very proud of her, it was a great effort against Zenyatta but the big mare came through once again with an electrifying run in the last 100 yards and she deserves her place in the history books.

Roan Inish ran in Ireland as a 2 year old, but came to Canada in the fall to win the Princess Elisabeth Stakes at Woodbine with her Irish jockey David Moran coming over for the ride. The pair were re-united once again for the Woodbine Oaks and the way she was staying on she certainly would not be out of place against the colts in the 10 furlong Queen's Plate on July 4th.

She looks like another decent runner for her sire Elusive Quality.

Watch the replay of the stretch run and pay close attention to St Trinians' ears. You see Zen hesitate for just a heartbeat before she goes past, it only took her 4 strides. In mare speak, ST was saying don't you dare come close. Zen took note and ignored it.

It was never wracking to watch Zenyatta? It was for me. Especially with St. Trinians, who was able to get into a race for females despite being a stallion. Seriously though, that was one indescribable race. She wasn't responding like she usually does until the Saint was REALLY at her flank. Then OH BOY...

It was a huge effort from St Trinians, but even if she were a male, I'm not sure it would've been enough to beat Zenyatta yesterday.

The Vanity was pretty hard for Zenyatta! It was never wracking to watch her but once she started catching St. Trinian, I knew she had him. Though St. trinian has an awesome bloodline, he was still no match for the queen.

The Vanity (GR 1 ) was the most difficult race I've seen Zenyatta in , since the Breeder's Cup Classic ! St. Trinians proved to be a serious rival ! Looking at St. Trinians sire line , I notice that Known Fact seems to be the only son of In Reality that has had any impact on breeding and racing in Europe , especially his son Warning !
