Don't forget about MONBA, carrying five strains of LaTroienne and being female tail line back to Alcibiades, he is certainly worthy to become a very good sire. A grand looking son of Maria's Mon, he is not to be overlooked.

You're right, and the resulting Monarchos-Personal Ensign offspring, Title Seeker, has produced this year's Iowa Oaks (gr. III) winner Seeking the Title (by Seeking the Gold) as her first foal.

Seeking the Title runs Saturday in the Coaching Club American Oaks (gr. I).

well the phipps family gave monarchos every chance going as far to let him touch personal ensign the one time she was bred to him several yrs ago.

We can only hope that his sons will carry on the sire line. Monarchos has been very hit and miss. Super saver has the female line to give breeders enough hope. I would love to see this sire line blossom and rival the Northern Dancer and Mr Prospector lines as breeders are in need of outcrossing. While not a 100% outcross, he offers breeders a choice of moving the inbreeding back a few generations.
