Picture Editor was a disapointment in the Zetland Stakes at Newmarket today at 10 furlongs only finishing third. He was keeping on but never looked like catching the first two. That is it for this season and we will just have to wait to see how he developes into a 3 year old.

The decision has been made to give Picture Editor his final race as a 2 year old in the Zetland Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday. This is the race that his stablemate Twice Over won when he was a 2 year old and went on to win the Group 1 Champion Stakes twice.

It has been a banner year for Juddmonte Farms and they have a lot to look forward to with a 2 year old like Frankel who will have his first race in Group 1 company in the Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket.But they also have another interesting 2 year old who is also trained by Henry Cecil called Picture Editor. This son of Dansili is unbeaten in 2 starts and won his last race at Leicester by 30 lengths. He also will have one more race this year either in the 10 furlong Zetland Stakes at Newmarket or a race in France.

The Danehill line looks to be best represented be Danehill Dancer with Dansili right up there !

I did not think it was possible for another stallion to pick up where Danehill left off. We should have known it would be one of his own sons. What a stallion this guy has turned out to be!
