Agreed, Arbee. Red Desire was one made ineffective with that pace scenario. It would be nice to see all championship races run strongly, but Shared Account has been waiting for more distance on firm ground all along?

I was shocked by the slow pace!! Anything can happen when they crawl the first mile and sprint to the wire, but Midday's class displayed even in such an odd race.

This race maybe to rich for the Johar mare Keertana, But I would'nt be surprised the way the Johars are going in New Zealand over ground,

Midday is on the top of her game right now with her last three victories coming in Group 1 company. It was too bad that her great rival Sariska refused to start in two of those wins as it would have been good for racing. As this is going to be her last race I would like to see her go out in great style with a win. I would also like to see our Canadian entry Miss Keller run a good race plus I have a real soft spot for her Broodmare sire Warning who was a fine winner of the Group 1 Sussex Stakes at Goodwood.

I honestly think that, apart from the classic, this is the classiest race of the entire weekend. there are 2 horses at best missing from this race to make it a real world championship: sariska and sarafina. sariska is now retired anyway. sadly. otherwise you have the absolute best fillies in the world on turf. midday will take some beating but I like harmonious, slight (major?) doubt about the trip but dynaformer will get her home. watch out for hibaayeb as well. you cannot often say about a turf race at the bc that it is the best in the world, but this definitely is. savour it.

I totally agree. I love Red Desire, and also Plumania to be right there with Midday.
