'Simply the Best' Best horse in the world! Luv her and can't wait to see her again. She is so fun to watch with her belly down, ears back, and an explosive stretch run that literally blows you away. Thanks for bringing her here to the US. Congratulations to Cartier's Horse of the Year and older female champ!

Goldi is AWESOME! I'm still hoarse from yelling for her! Now THAT was a career for the ages. She took on all comers, girls and boys alike. She took on the whole world! If she could be part of the voting for HOY, she'd have mine - hands down. And if she stays sound and happy with what she'd doing, I say go for it. This is what all of us long for: a champion who stays out there long enough for everyone to fall in love with her. Go go Goldikova - and thanks to all her connections for sharing this wonderful lady with those of us who appreciate everything a horse can be.

Goldikova is unbelievable! The first time(BC2008)I was impressed. The second time(BC2009)I was awed. The third time-well-there are no words for the way she put that field away! She danced every dance, she met all comers on her turf and theirs. Her owners threw down the gauntlet and she met every challenge-win or lose. That was a campaign! That is how honors are won!

She was amazing and I look forward to following her next year as well! And the Wertheimers get it - to keep people interested in this and take it seriously as a sport, there needs to be more stars and how can horses be stars when they disappear after 1 or 2 years? A 3-peat was amazing. I have my doubts about a 4th go round still a year away. But she remains the best turf miler on several continents, and I'm certain Europe will be reeling from their discussions about their HOY between Workforce and Goldikova. In my book...it's Goldikova...no question! Like the energizer bunny..she keeps going..and going...and going.

Goldikova's prowess and her sire's success are all the more remarkable given that Anabaa was diagnosed as a wobbler at 2 and nearly culled.

I saw her win the mile at Santa Anita in 2008 - she was so amazing - she shot between horses and made them look like they were standing still. In the paddock she was just a little plain brown filly - on the racetrack she is an Amazon.

Now we see by example, Goldi's owners following the Moss's example, only wish she can race in US more than once so she gets a better chance of HOTY.

I'm still wowed the way she exploded in the stretch & won easily.

Wow - I have never seen a horse accelerate like she did. Power and poetry - looked effortless.

Is HOY in the U.s restricted only to U.S. horses? If not then she gets my vote!
