&lt;p&gt;Yes, it's too bad that we won't get to enjoy seeing Lookin At Lucky race at 4, as he'd certainly be a favorite for HOTY in 2011. But racing/breeding is very much a business, and retirement is an element of it. The horse is a 2x champion, so hats off for what he accomplished. Hopefully he'll sire some top racehorses.&lt;/p&gt;

He would have had a very good shot at being HOTY next year hence his value would have much greater and for the racing industry he could have done what zanyetta had done.&lt;/p&gt;
