Fantastic! Gone West and his sons deserve more respect and more publicity, he is on just the same league as A.P. Indy and Storm Cat. Not to mention being the sire of some outstanding stallions, including the sire of the great racehorse, Smarty Jones. Gone West embodies the prepotent sire line of Mr.Prospector with the strong broodmare blood of Secretariat.

I have a son of Gone West out of a Seattle Slew/Danzig mare, despite him being injured on the track and ending up as my top show jumper, his heart and athelticsism demonstrates the great cross this line can provide. My gelding is 18 years old and looks younger and fitter than a 2 year old, can still gallop out in :12 at his age and can jump a 5'6" fence without batting an eyelash. Gone West gives his progeny grit, soundness and big hearts, something we need more of in this sport once again.
