Doesn't siring Giant's Causeway (sire of the great Aragorn and many more) and Tale of the Cat (sire of Lion Heart, who is on the leading 2YO sire list himself) and Stormy Atlantic make Storm Cat a sire of sires? Bernstein is also making a mark with his 2YO this year, and there are some successful local sires like Freud and Tribal Rule.

I mean, it's not fair to expect *every* one of his sons to be a top sire, is it? Geez, what does a guy have to do to get any respect?

Let's not forget to mention that there seems to be an emerging AP Indy/Broad Brush nick. Skylighter is an interesting example of this.

Byron's Reply: Dray...I would peg it more specifically as a Pulpit/Broad Brush nick. A.P Indy has only performed as well as expectation with Broad Brush mares while Pulpit (2 stakes winners) and his son Sky Mesa (1 stakes winner) have done better than opportunity would suggest. Maybe we can see a "home team nick" for Gainesway....Tapit/Broad Brush mares.
