Hi Noelle,

It's often difficult to separate U.S. and European pedigrees these days - Banimpire is by Holy Roman Emperor (by U.S. bred Danehill, a son of Danzig - out of a U.S. bred daughter of Secretariat and Fanfreluche), and her dam is a daughter of the U.S.-bred Kris S.

Funnily enough, Danzig and Kris S. only made eight starts between them.

My impression has been that the modern, chemical-dependent AMERICAN horse is the horse reputed to be less durable than its forebears.

I see you have a report on Bapak Chinta now Alan, good comments on his pedigree. His connections are thinking about the Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes for 2 year olds and up in August at York so it will be interesting to see if they plan to run against his elders. In anycase he looks like a sprinter with a future.
