In a somewhat rare occurrance for a top race these days, it would seem the two best bred-Alternation and Dominus-are also the two best on prior form (and racing ability).

Just to confirm, you are picking Ruler On Ice to win the Haskell in 1:46 3/5 or faster?

Now let me tell you about Jose V. the jockey and Kelly Breen the trainer of Ruler On Ice that most likely did watch Ronnie Turcotte and the way that he won the triple crown. Ruler On Ice won the 2011 Belmont Stakes on the front end not letting Shackleford get away, but this time at a mile and a eighth, Ruler On Ice has to get to the front and be alone and the race is won with a record breaking ride from Jose V. Ruler On Ice won the Belmont in the slop at a mile and a half and he was pulling away when he did it, because he was able to sit and relax and just think what Ruler On Ice is going to do on a dry track at a mile and a eighth and the only thing he has to do is get to the front. Ruler On Ice can and will beat every horse to the front in the Haskell and as soon as he hits the three quarter of a mile pole, you are going to see him take off like a rocket and set a track record. Ruler On Ice is a great horse but trainers and racing fans still do not think so, but come Sunday he will prove best and he will also win the Travers at Saratoga come August. I have not seen a horse like this in a while . The last time I seen a horse that runs like he does is 1973 and you know who that would be and if you do not then you will have to take a trip to Saratoga to see his statue. The hardest kind of race to win is in the slop on dirt because you have to go through it and while you are going through it the horse keeps sinking. Jose V. knows what he has to do to get to the Breeders Cup and his job is to get Ruler On Ice to the front and let him run. Kelly Breen is a good trainer but I think he can be a great trainer and great trainers that pay attention to the past must tell there jockeys how to ride and where the horse should be in any race. Ronnie Turcotte was showing future jockeys and trainers what has to be done to make a history. Jose V. and Kelly Breen have only one chance in a lifetime to get this right and they will never have this chance again. I am putting my money down and saying he gets it right Sunday at Monmouth Park and I know I will have at least a thousand people in the local O.T.B. rooting for him to win. Ruler On Ice beat some great horses in the Belmont Stakes, but you must know that he beat them easily and I can not wait to Ruler On Ice and Jose V. crush this field in the Haskell and the look on Bob Bafferts face after the race. It is going to be pricless.
