&lt;p&gt;Sorry for any confusion... In this particular blog, I chose to use GSW because I was dealing with Danzig and A.P. Indy, and they&amp;#39;ve sired plenty of GSW.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;For Danzig/Secretariat, the 2 GSW are also the only SW. With A.P. Indy/Mr. P, there are 15 GSW and 21 total SW, so this cross is actually more impressive if you added in all SW, but leaving it with GSW illustrates the point.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;TrueNicks considers all SW in the calculation; using only GSW across the entire population would be limiting. SW is a good objective threshold, and then seeing the top horses on the cross (listed on each TrueNicks report) helps the breeder/user interpret the quality subjectively.&lt;/p&gt;
