His only try in the Northern Hemisphere was the Arc, in which the jock TOOK HIM TO THE REAR OF THE FIELD! Any idiot who had watched him run in Australia knew that was the exactly the wrong way to ride this horse - he likes to run forwardly, in a striking position. As it was, he was one of the few horses who was still advancing at the end of the Arc, scything through the field to get up for fourth.

The Coolmore committee has been too hung up on the fact that SYT had won at 1400m during a Cox Plate preparation (which Makybe Diva also did while prepping for the Melbourne Cup as well) and therefore must be less than a 12f horse. Tosh. In the 2 mile Melbourne Cup, the race that everyone in Australia wants to win even though it is 'only a handicap', SYT was giving weight to all but a former winner who was down the field, including 15 lbs to the second, who barely got up to him.

a Danehill son out of a daughter by Frafreluche.I remember

Franfreluche who was by Northern Dancer finishing second to

Almoner in the 1970 Queen,s Plate at Woodbine. But she became

more famous later on when in foal to Secretariat she was

''Kidnapped'' Lucky enough later on she was found safe and

sound but alas her foal colt by Secretariat never acheived

anything on the racetrack like his famous parents.

But the right step should be to run him in the one mile Sussex Stakes at Goodwood first and then go for ten furlongs after that.
