Kadyny has a pretty interesting pedigree. The sire, Zamindar, is out of a mare by The Minstrel, and the dam is by Dansili, who brings in Nijinsky II, the three-quarters brother to The Minstrel.

There are getting on for 20 stakes winners with Zaizafon (dam of Zamindar and his brother Zafonic) in the sire, and Nijinsky II in the dam, including the brilliant Zarkava (dam Kahyasi, the broodmare sire of Dansili).

Kadny's third dam, Excellent Alibi, is a three-parts-sister to the great mare Dahlia, and is linebred to the Frizette family (second cross through Bald Eagle, broodmare sire of Excellent Alibi's own sire, Exceller).
