Good call on Winding Way. She beat a very useful field. Interesting to see how far Kauai Katie will go, given the sister just gained her stakes win at 6 1/2 furlongs.

Spendthrift has sent the dam to Australia. Think she might be coming back to visit Malibu Moon again?!

I feel that Kauai Katie looks to excel at distances of 8.5 furlongs or less. Looking at the pedigree of Kauai Katie's second dam Pretty Livia , by Forest Wildcat o/o a Crafty Prospector mare plus the Dosage being heavy on the Brilliant / Intermediate / and classic points with nothing in the Solid or Professional catagories . Kauai Katie has all the ingredients of a talented precocious filly with a future , but not at classic distances ! I could be wrong !!!
