There have been at least 43 stakes winners with Nijinsky II and The Minstrel combined in the first four generations, including the Aga Khan's great filly Zarkava. The closest is a stakes winner by Royal Academy out of a mare by The Minstrel, so has the pair 2 x 2.

I would think Masterclass is well worth a shot with Conquistarose. Xaar, from the same family as Masterclass, has a graded winner with The Minstrel and Nijinsky II combined.

Catherine J: there have been good brothers and sisters throughout the history of the breed. La Troienne, maybe the most important mare ever brought to the U.S. had St. Simon and his sister Angelica, and Ormonde and his sister Ornament (St. Simon and Ormonde were the best English runners of the 19th century). Sex Appeal (dam of El Gran Senor and Try My Best) has a double of La Troienne through the three-parts-sister and brother, Busanda and Mr. Busher.

There are a lot of other good brothers that appear together frequently in pedigrees, including Bull Dog and Sir Gallahad III (who have a sister, Marguerite de Valois, in the female line of Fappiano and others); Sickle and Pharamond II (in the male lines of Native Dancer and Tom Fool); Fairway and Pharos; and more recently Viceregal and Vice Regent, who have worked quite well, despite limited opportunities.
