I love Tapit. No doubt that this is a serious stallion and I hope he goes on and is a great one. Love Pulpit, love Ap and the Slew. It's a great line and long may it live.

He run 3 times and won twice, being third in the other. He is due to run at Deauville (FR) on March 19 for his first outing as a 3yo.

We find that just under a third of horses are rated 'B' or higher, and that group produces at three-quarters of the stakes winners. There are always going to be some horses who outperform the nick rating, just as there are horses that far outperform the "class" of their pedigree.

It's not a question of promotion: Pulpit has proved himself to be the best son of A.P. Indy, and a coming sire of sires: he's booked full at $80,000 for the coming year. Tapit has four stakes winners, three graded, and two grade one, with his first crop only just turned three. Breeders can't afford to ignore these kind of results.

It is sad that more mare owners are not breeding to horses that ran several times and retired sound after age 4. There are plenty of Grade 1 winning stallions that fit that category. In this age of awareness of breakdowns, should breeding for soundness a durability be important?

That gorgeous almost arabian head and he just looks to have a real presence about him.

Then of course he is of the Seattle Slew dynasty and A P INDY and PULPIT are greatfavourites of mine as everyone knows.

It has been so exciting watching Tapit's runners charge home in front. With Laragh, Terrain, and Poltergeist as well as Stardom Bound and War Echo, even this early in the year he is in a strong position. Am just praying they all stay sound, happy, healthy and well!

God Bless

Best wishes

Hersman

Question:

Why is it that every time True Nicks gets the opportunity to exploit the data, we see an A++, as in the case of War Echo, above.

However, the casual reader is required to run his/her own report if he/she wants to see the grade on other horses listed in your blogs.

For example: Stardom Bound is a C+. This really must be an outlier, or maybe it was just a judicious breeding that did not include, "True Nicks". Pioneerof the Nile was rated a "B" by your software calculation.

Either one of these horses gets a satisfactory grade in my estimation.
