Indy sons seem to be the ones who are siring the distance horses. For my money, I don't look at stallions who have not won at a mile or longer. Milers have the tag of making the best sires, but in this country, milers get bred to sprinters and then they try to stretch out the babies and it doesn't work. I prefer stallions who consistantly won at 1 1/8 mile and LONGER. Sprinters have led to less stamina and as we all know, 3 year olds who can't go a distance of ground. A.P. Indy is one sire you cannot go wrong with.

P. Indy, El Compinche (by Southern Halo), and Rainbow Corner. This family has had a tremendous affinity for Southern Halo. As you noted, it's a "nick" with the family, not sire lines, and this is one of the elements to breeding that the late Hernan Ceriani of La Quebrada looked for.
