The newest trend to show promise is duplicating Nureyev in Thoroughbred pedigrees.

re: Nureyev Up Close

Hi there, I have bred a Colt out of my Mare.OCTICKLE she is by Eagling,Northern Dancer, Eagling is by Nureyev.
Here in the USA colony of Puerto Rico there is a person - Tomés Gerardo (Tomito) Muñiz who is also a 'bible' on pedigrees. I am interested because I breed gamecocks and although horses are mamals and gamecocks (by the way, the biggest cocker of all time was a fellow by the name of George Washington), are birds, in both areas you breed the best to the best and 'hope' for the best. It is interesting to note the similarities regarding inbreeding. I'll mention some interesting features or coincidences some other time.

I had good luck with inbreeding 4x4 to Nureyev with Kiss With a Twist, not to mention some other things I was trying to do in the pedigree. But, I was able to get Nurevev through a son and a daughter, which is no easy task! I retired her this year and she is going to Dixie Union. I would love to have your opinion on that mating and I think you will see where I was going.
