Same Cross could not fulfill her promise in the Happy Ticket at the Fair Grounds but nevertheless as a 4 year old and the great breeding she carries with her what a great prospect she really is to produce something useful.

Same Cross looked good in winning her 6 furlong allowance

race at the Fair Grounds in 1.10 and 3 fifths and should be ready for a step up in class.

7 furlongs is that distance in racing were a horse shows good form it usually is either a top class 6 furlong horse or a miler but that grand Canadian-Bred colt, Langfuhr truly was a top class 7 furlong horse as he showed in stakes races in the U.S.A. He reminded me so much of a horse trained in England by Sir Noel Murless called Welsh Pageant who although good enough to finish third in the 1969 2000 Guineas to Right Tack was very much at home at 7 furlongs and even to this day I never forget his devastating turn of foot to win the Hungerford Stakes at Newbury over that distance. Langfuhr went on to do well as a stallion and good luck to his Grand-Daughter Same Cross
