Danzig's third dam, English Oaks winner Steady Aim, is very similarly-bred to Oaks and 1,000 Guineas winner Rockfel (dam of Rockefella, the broodmare sire of Sharpen Up).

it is very interesting what you are saying. In the past I did analyse the results of Danehill with Native dancer line broadmares, and apart from the ones you hasve mentioned, you can find; Duke of Marmalade, Danehill Dancer, George Washington, Landseer, Scintillation, Stronghold, Sir Ernesto, Multidimensional, Danehurst, Planet Ruler, Barolo, Simply Perfect, Kissing Cousin, Archange D'or, Dr. moore, Admiralofthefleet, etc,.......

There are a lot, and here in Europe the Native Dancer line, is not so extended as in the US. Danehill pedigree allows easy inbreedings to Native Dancer.

Regards from Spain

In Danehill's case maybe it is the doubling up of Native Dancer giving THREE crosses in 5x5x5 & again with Dayjur 5x5x5. Maybe he just loves Northern Dancer, most other sirelines do.

That's an interesting observation Sometimes horse breeding is a bit like algebra - A (Kris/Diesis) works with B (Roberto), which is very similar to C (Alydar), so we shouldn't be surprised when A and C work together.

Roberto's son, Red Ransom, got his first big winner, Sri Pekan, out of a mare by Son Ange, a close relative to Alydar).

Diesis and Kris have worked very well here with Roberto and his desdendants. Elmaamul is an example and his son Muhtathir is going to make a mark in Europe.

Taking a look at Alydar's mother sweet Tooth, it has a lot of similarities with the pedigree of Roberto. Sweet cames from Nasrullah while Roberto has it in his pedigree and comes from Nasrullah 3/4 brother Royal Charger. Roberto has 3 sons of Plucky Liege in Sir Gallahad, Admiral Drake and Bull Dog, while Sweet tooth is inbreed to Bull Lea , son of Bull Dog and also present in roberto. Finally Blue Delight is a daughter of Blue Larkspur to whom Roberto is inbred.

Interesting. It's a pity that both Kris and Diesis frequently deliver close hocks, because they are a good source of quality.
