He was imported as a yearling. He won the Poule prep by 4 and a half lengths very easily, and his trainer has nominated him in St James Palace Stakes (G1 in england) He will win the spanish poule and then go for a G1 in Europe.

www.pedigreequery.com/as+de+trebol2

It is quite interesting to mark that Ap Indy has not succeded here as a stallion, but it seems that Tapit can produce grass performers.

In the following link you can see As de Trebol winning the Gran Criterium last year. It is a pity that I cannot show you the poule prep race, because is much more astonishing than this victory:

While she is certainly no Pocahontas, we are talking about one of the greatest mares to ever look through a bridle and her full brother did a reasonable job given the opportunity that he had. It is a fair comment, but I wouldn't be too dogmatic about this being an indication of the chances of Parading at stud.

I would love to see someone in Argentina pick up a horse like this and give him a shot down there, much like Indygo Shiner. The A.P Indy sireline looks to suit that part of the world and Personal Ensign's grand-dam Dorine was a freak in that country and there is a lot of the bloodlines that have worked in this family and Parading's pedigree, native to the bloodlines found in Argentina.

In the case of Personal Ensign's sons, Miner's Mark was not a very prepossessing individual, and was probably something of a "plodder." Our Emblem never won a stakes, although multiple grade one placed, and was a late-closing sprinter, a type that often disappoints as a stallion. Proud and True was a fairly modest runner as stallions go. There is another brother to this trio called Traditionally (grade three winner in the U.S.), who has stood in Europe and New Zealand. Not a great success, but has sired a graded winner in both hemispheres.

Corinthian looks a very interesting prospect on paper, especially given that female line!

Mineshaft hasn't yet come up to expectations, although Casino Drive is probably a very good horse when sound. Mineshaft was something of a late-developer too, and one couldn't completely write him off yet. It would be no surprise to see him come up with a very good horse (he does have five first crop stakes winners now, and Cool Coal Man or Coal Play might still pop up and win a good race).

Pulpit showed huge promise on the track, and could well have been a great racehorse had he not got hurt in the Derby. However, sons Tapit,Pyro,Sky Mesa, Purge, Corinthian and Essense Of Dubai all also showed great promise but in the end were disappointing.

As sires Sky Mesa is doing well now, but the jury is still out, the same must be said for Stroll. But where would Tapit be without the fillies Stardom Bound, War Echo and Laragh ?

I'm not convinced.

Our Emblem hasn't done half bad siring War Emblem, who is doing well in Japan despite the very small crop sizes, and Proud and True has True Metropolitan but in general all of PE's sons haven't done much.

What's your take on that?
