Ghanaati winning the important 1000 Guineas in her first race on turf shows once again the remarkable similarity of all weather racing and turf.Unlike Mine That Bird this wasn.t a total surprise as she looked impressive breaking her maiden on polytrack at Kempton Park.

Ah, Nayef; must be very much his mother's son, and what a lovely type. He, likely, will be the one to carry on his dam's line. Already a very good sire, his fillies should be prized. He does belong in Europe. Too bad.

I love Giant's Causeway and I don't get to hear enough about how his runners are doing outside of the US. It is refreshing to hear good things from his offspring abroad.

It seems the Mr. Prospector mares do well in the mix.

Maybe we can see Ghanaati in the Breeders' Cup meet. I love Lahudood and what a BC run she had.
