RossD: initially Danehill Dancer would have had more opportunity numerically, but possibly wouldn't have covered the quality of mares that Dansili (who is supported by the Juddmonte program).

I think they are both very good sires, but their influence is going to be a little different in that Danehill Dancer is primarily an influence for speed (although like his sire, he has sufficient versatility to get a middle-distance horse from a staying bred mare), where Dansili is more of a middle distance sire.

It will be very interesting to see where they stack up in ten years time, and if either have managed to continue the sire line effectively (Danehill Dancer is off to a good start in Australia with Choisir, Dansili now has Rail Link at stud in Europe).

yes danehill dancer is in the spotlight now but i think dansili will be danehill's best sire son.dansili sired rail link who is an ark winner in his first crop.also danehill dancer would have better opportunities as regards the mares he covers being a coolmore stallion.
