His MSW was win was in the top 5% of Most Closers Favoring races run at the distance since the return to dirt at SA. There is little to no chance those dynamics replay themselves in a far more talented field. Additionally, the stretch from a 5.5f debut to 7f has always been a negative for me.

predict I looked at the race and I just dont have a clear idea so eventhough this is play money, I dont have a pick maybe if I see everthing live I will get a good idea,I doubt it though I have been doing this a long time.

I will write that this is a 6 furlong race and the winners share is $120,000 so I wont be surprised if one of the horses sent to the front with relatively high odds, holds on for a piece or wins it.From your picks you see it as a chalky race.GL

you might know this but in an 8 horse field there are only 56 exacta combinations and 336 trifecta combinations.

predict did you actually think I would play an $8 dollar exacta box with 5 numbers even with play money,to even break even and win 160 dollars the exacta would have to pay 40 dollars and without looking at the odds the most I think it will pay is in the 30 dollar range so I will look at the odds and make a different bet using $160.

OK predict, if you want to raise the bet although this 8 horse field isnt worth betting $160 but thats what you are betting a 50 dollar exacta box=100 dollars and a $10 tri box=60 dollars since this is play money Ill just keep the same numbers 1-4-5-7-8 and bet an $8 exacta box which equals 160 dollars gl.

predict I agree with both of your statements,that is why I play exotics I use probable contenders many favorites and I get better odds on their in the money finishes by using the ineffecient exacta pools.

Not to excited about Baze at 3-1 as this will defintely drop by post time, but if it doesn't I would play Tamarando just on the basis of the company he has kept.

In the El Camino Real Derby I am going with the team that has won this race 4 times together, and other times apart,Hollendorfer and Baze with Tamarando.

My bet is two exacta partial wheels, keying him on top and bottom 4-1578 1578-4 $8 for every $1 bet, using Craftsman,Enterprising,I'll Wrap It Up,and Dance With Fate as the others in the bet.I will cover in the win,place and show pools just in case he dosent come in the exacta,but he comes in 1st or 2nd but others that I dont include complete the exacta.That would be a race time decision getting more up to date data points than past performances contain for instance weather,track condition,jockey day stats,odds,exotic combination results etc.

Point is he didnt break his maiden until his 3rd race and Bayern is 2 for 2 and both races were won by open lengths.IMO he more resembles Bodemeister than Tiz The Truth.

Same thing every year - some MSW or Alw1x horse beats four bad horses by a long margin on the SA dirt in fast time and he's the next great thing. Last year it was Tiz the Truth.

Off topic Bayern is 2 for 2 after winning yesterday by 15 lengths, and is triple crown nominated.I think Baffert will test him in deeper waters for his next race.I write about him because he is the best candidate I know about to put the Apollo rule to rest,having only raced as a 3yo.
