Going by the Timeform speed figures Strong Mandate is the most consistent colt.Since he broke his maiden in his 2nd start at Saratoga where he ran a 96 he hasnt run below that figure.After the 96 he ran 111,97,104,and 97 in the Southwest.I am glad to see it because I have started betting him in Derby futures and I am looking for him to run a gasser so I can bet more combinations in the last bet with him.He should come in 1st or 2nd.

Looking at Tapiture with the Timeform figures in his 3 races at Chrchill Downs where he finished 1st once and had 2 thirds.His figures in those three races at Churchill dont look that fast 87,86,and 90.His fastest race was here at this track in his last where he got a great inside trip and he ran a 100.

I am going to let this race determine if I will stick with only Strong Mandate in derby futures or also ad Tapiture or whoever beats Strong Mandate in this race.

D Wayne looks like he will repeat in this one after winning it last year.

It's funny - Golden Lad set a GP course record in his last before Social Inclusion came along to break it. That's some track they've got there.
