Rusty Weisner If you would have been in the moment on this blog instead of writing names back and forth with PLod Boy you would have gotten Albano in the Pegasus and not live in the past with a pic 4 you wouldnt have played.

I know the connections think Long River is ready to step up, or they want to find out if he is ready for grade one company.I think this race on paper looks like the best horses run from off the pace so it was a good spot to contest a G1 for a presser like LR.I follow this trainer and his 24% win average, but I also do not play all his runners, and while I miss some winners, I pass many more that run off the board.

Redux Re Long River I think this grade one prepares him for his next at Saratoga where he has been training since his lat race.I have watched almost all his races and IMO he is not a grade one animal.He had a bullet work at Saratoga out of 47 in his last work.I look for him to get a lot of fitness in this grade one race and I think McLaughlin will find him a good spot to win a grade two or grade 3 at the Spa.

I dont see him winning this race but at these odds wouldnt surprise me if he gets a spot in the tri or super.

Re Long River if he runs well in this grade one if you look at his workouts he has been at Saratoga since his last race, I think and this one will prepare him for his graded win at the Spa although maybe not a G1.He had the bullet out of 47 in his last workout which was at Saratoga.
