The uniform (the wearing of which is presumably a condition of employment) is spelled out specifically and decking it out with pins, which might or might not be appropriate or tasteful, sort of defeats the purpose of a uniform. Having staff dressed in neat, identical uniforms sends a message of professionality - and in this era of inappropriately casual, dressed down people, that can only be a good thing! As for the pink breast cancer ribbons ... that is a serious matter, raising awareness of an international cause of huge importance to everyone, man or woman. I don't think any reasonable person would seriously object to a single pink ribbon. After all, many racing people are women and many others have wives and daughters. The pink ribbon says, "We think you matter and we're fighting for your health."
