Why would you say a horse is "rating", when she's in the lead for most of the race, as Fancy Point was?

Regal Ransom looked to be a handful because he did not want to slow down...and he ran beautifully. What a strong horse! Cool Coal Man couldn't catch up. I felt terrible for Timber Reserve when he was pulled up. The sad news of his passing came today.

There's no place like Saratoga!

If you win at Saratoga, you "really" win. When you drive up the driveway to the Gideon Putnam Hotel or arrive at the Saratoga Springs train station, you're back in history and a horseracing fan's heart remains there.

Very sad to see Timber Reserve go down in Regal Ransom's race. RIP to the six year old.
