Actually, she was in a western saddle at the time... Looked scary to me. If it was not for the saddle horn she would have hit the ground. Reckless

A stranger on the bus to Santa Anita in 03 told me Pleasantly Perfect had been pointed to the classic all along. Afterwards, I was glad I listened to the stranger!

Great social commentary. More importantly, Candy Ride got his 7th winner; loved that horse, he would have taken the 03 BC Classic had they been able to keep his shoes on his feet two months longer.

Yes it WAS a nice catch, I was just a little worried though when I saw her bouncing about a foot out of the saddle. An English saddle, that kind of a catch, props to her. The TVG guys said she should get hooked up in the rodeo. There are some wicked outriders/pony people and some amazing catches, I've seen a bunch at the tracks I've visited. One sticks in my mind from Ruidoso, NM. A lot of those people ARE in the rodeo and they have zero fear, some scary stuff. Course they do it in a Western saddle but is that a help or a hindrance? The saddle horn ouch.

As for the lady reading the book, I'm a big reader but a handicapper, no way I'd be reading at the Spa, even people watching is more fun, plus your book will get wet this year.
