NOT a slur? REALLY?? Possibly the food truck owner is skewing the impact of the word on HIM, maybe he's trying to get attention for his sounds-really-crappy barbecue (sweet marinara and provolone?? FOR REAL??), or maybe he just doesn't care how many people he insults. None of MY Italian friends think that word is funny or even "an homage"! Neither do any of my Italian-American friends. Neither do any of my African-American friends or Hispanic friends or Polish friends or French friends or even my plain-old-garden-variety-composite-with-no-particularly-well-defined-ancestry-friends. Does anyone, OTHER than the food truck owner, want to go down this ethnic trashing road yet again?? And BESIDES, who the hell would buy barbecue topped with marinara and provolone ANYWAY? BLAH!

Cheers and safe trips to all at the Spa and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, SARATOGA!
