Jockey

While I agree that standouts were hard to find in last(this) year's crop, I do think that some of these horses will be excellent 4 yr. old's. Mucho Macho Man, the youngest horse to ever run in the Kentucky Derby, showed what a little time can do last out. Very impressive run, world class. I think the BC Classic next year will have a lot of derby hopefuls re matched against each other. The 4 and up division should be really exciting. Union Rags will prove he is better than Hansen in the Derby, but I'm still putting my future wage on the field. Simply for odds...

There were good horses out there and lots of nice racing - and of course Goldi, who's a star even if she didn't get no. 4; no one else has 3 - and as Simon Bray said, just being there for 4 in a row's pretty spectacular. We saw some stars and some breathtaking performances at every level. And so now we look ahead and ask, "What will 2012 show us?" Thanks for the memories too. May all those stars enjoy their romps in the pastures of Horse Heaven.

Thankyou, for your thoughts and remembrances. I think some good things have started to take shape this year, which should be good for horseracing, especially what is happening in the use of drugs.

Looking forward to 2012, I think it could be a good one.

Happy New Year!
