Interesting how these things are rated, and can imagine it is hard to balance things out. &amp;nbsp;Thanks for a great article.&lt;/p&gt;

Saratoga ran it couple of years, but when Delaware reopened and reclaimed it, the race took a hit in purse and prestige. It has been climbing back to top level ever since. The Hempstead (shortened from 9f) has been coasting for years and deserves a downgrade.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt; Nice article. As you know the Delaware Handicap use to be $1,000,000.00. It wasn&amp;#39;t a grade 1 then either. I hope it becomes a Grade 1, it should have been by now. Been going to Del. Park for 60 years. Remember when the &amp;quot;only&amp;quot; big bet of the day was the 1st &amp;amp; 2nd race daily double. No exactas or tri&amp;#39;s.&lt;/p&gt;
