Did you just write an entire commentary on the Jan sale and not mention the 4.4 mil buyback of a "high priced broodmare" named Azeri (who would have sold for 9 mil plus less than 2 years ago) or was that my imagination. It's possible. I did drink a lot of champagne last night.

Obviously it is very early days as far as the Bloodstock Sales are concerned but as ever what Sheikh Mohammed and his family do will greatly influence what happens. If they continue to spend lots and lots of money then things may not be so bad. If they do not well then...

Sheikh Mohammed, Hamdan Al Maktoum and all the Maktoum family have certainly been propping up racing in the UK since the 1980's, sadly often with little appreciation, I am ashamed to say and i do get cross about that!

Am hoping Godolphin and Darley have a great year worldwide following the massive investment Sheikh Mohammed made last year in so many areas of our beloved racing industry, and in many different Countrys!
