I very much respect what Mr. Beychock has done. It would be wonderful if more horseracing fans would give back to this sport. Something as simple as contributing to the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation everytime you attended a race. Most every racetrack has a representative there now. If you are unable to spend time at the track just sending them a donation is a wonderful thing to do. Thank you for bringing this person to my attention and thank you to Mr. Beychok.

Kudos to Mr. Beychok! Not only does he say the right thing-he does it. Brilliant speech - and thank you for delivering it at the Eclipse awards ceremony. The challenge has been made, now what players are going to step up to meet it? I hope many will.

Mr. Beychok, I like your style. More horse players should do this sort of thing. Most TBs race for just a few years and then the lucky ones are chosen for second careers. The sport needs more individuals like Mr. Beychok who provide options for more racehorses. Thank you, Eric Mitchell, for this blog entry.

I was extremely moved by his speech during the Eclipse Awards. This is a man who has a huge heart. Without a horse, he would never have won. It is only fitting that he is repaying his debt to an awesome individual. Congratulations to Michael and, of course, Glorious Dancer.

By far, Michael Beychock's acceptance speech was my favorite moment in the entire Eclipse Awards ceremony. His story about the mare that literally changed his life and how he "rescued her" so she would have a good life brought tears.
