I believe not receiving his usual steroid shot cost him the Belmont, AND his inexperience, along with the fact that he simply is not in the same category as Affirmed, Seattle Slew, Secretariat, Citation, etc... Enough said!

Why hasn't anyone noted that big browns crappy race might have to do with the fact that he didn't get his steroid shot for the month?

I sure hope Tiznow sires the next Triple Crown winner. I agree with the person who said that he's just getting started. His foals are late-maturing, and should be given a chance to develop. He has a lot of good runners right now, and a lot of very promising ones as well. I was thrilled to see Da' Tara win, just like I was thrilled when Colonel John won the Santa Anita Derby.

As for Mr. Casner - he's a good and nice man. I met him Santa Anita Derby morning, and he is very friendly. I'm happy for his success.

Some people say sire power comes through the dam, and in that case Tiznow is a descendent of Papila(ARG), who gave us Crimson Satan, so he's got the credentials. He's a tough nut, too. I'm so glad he's finally coming around as a sire, especially because he's NP. He's also one of my favorite horses, so it's a plus all the way.
