Great story about a great horse with great connections. We need to see and hear more of this happen in our sport. It's very satisfying to know there are horsemen that respect the sport and the horse, not just what they can give them.

Ten years old and retired thanks to The Ayres. You set a wonderful example and i hope some day it will be the standard for all when they no longer can race.

Nice story, Tom. Always pays to look for the horse for course. Take Cardashi for example: he won the PA Governor's Cup a few years back and wasn't given much of a chance, but a quick look at his record revealed he loved that track. The believers were well rewarded.

Amazing. They spend $9,000 to buy her, probably another $20,000 to train her, $30,000 to fix her up, then have to risk her for $25,000 in a claiming race. The claiming game does not truely reflect the cost or worth of the horse or the emotional ties to the owner. It's brutal...

Uplifting and heart warming story, every once in awhile someone will rise above their illness because their will was stronger than the disease. Against all odds, but it does happen, in this case it was a horse who prevailed. Bless her heart, I hope she lives a long happy life.
