I've just enjoyed reading this column in February 2012. And, perhaps, it needs to be reprinted.

Mrs. Joyce Robsham has won 11 of 18 stakes races so far this year at Gulfstream.

She not only has the speedy Discreet Dancer but also has Broadway Alibi; Broadway's Alibi won her last race by 16 3/4 lengths.

And what's cool about Discreet Dancer is that she and her husband bred his grand dam, Pretty Discreet. This was followed by the breeding of Discreet Cat and then Discreet Dancer.

She's a very smart lady who has made the right decisions for her horses and who does what is right for them.

What a lovely story.

Thank you for sharing this uplifting story. Horses know so much more than we give them credit for. I think we humans are the dense ones. I believe Mrs. Robsham's horses know they are loved, and they give back everything they can.

I can only imagine how delighted you must have been to have THREE of your home-breds win on the same day ! WELL DONE ! Your horses look wonderful & I wish you continued success ! Winning is always great, but the owner who actually loves and cares for her horses is AWESOME & DESERVING & derives the greastest pleasure.

Lenny, "Winner's Circle" is a really good new feature. I didn't know that the Robshams started New Vocations, whose work I admire so much. Kudos to them!

Ms. Robshams: You and all who follow your philosophy of racehorses are why horseracing exists. I believe a racehorse knows when his owner loves him and races for that person, even Ruffian who was tempramental and onery loved her trainer, she respected him. Ruffian would have loved you.

I love to learn more information about the horse's connections so I can understand more about the horse. Hi There

Do you know why the Mrs Robsham sold the Medaglia D'Oro filly when her husband seemed to be so fond of that line? It would have seemed like a good racing/broodmare prospect for her and yet she sold the filly. Just wondering if you knew her reasoning?
