Dialed In is an example of a good decision in breeding. Miss Doolittle, though coming from family 37, has a number of nice winners dotted in her female family. She herself is double Bold Ruler and Crimson Satan on top and bottom. And with Storm Cat & Eliza as parents of course great things were expected. But it my idea that you can't get away from that tail female family. With a cross to Mineshaft you bring in so many strong/great individuals including a lot of great female families. Add to that an additional cross to Secretariat it helps her pedigree. Also what Dialed In has that her other racing foals don't have is a cross to Seattle Slew. Maybe that is a cross they should try again. Maybe with the old gentleman Slew City Slew. Maybe that is the missing link.

Thanks for the article. I met Miss Doolittle when she was two and at Saratoga in the spring. My husband did her teeth, and he commented what a great name, being out of Eliza. I've been cheering for Dialed In all year.
