Very nice article Lenny. I view this as another positive for California racing. Best of luck to them with their Turbulent Descent. It's great to hear when someone who loves racing can finally realize their dream. We can add Turbulent Descent to the awesome 3 yr. old fillies this year. I like how they look at carriage, conformation, stride, all before pedigree, very interesting concept indeed.

@Carl - Not quite convinced of Sassy Image yet. She's won a couple of G1's I know that, but she had a pace meltdown in both of those races she won. The competition was somewhat suspect as well in my opinion. Granted she's got the CD factor, and the possibility of fast pace, but the quality she'll be facing is much better, and the aforementioned horses will get first run and they've got a kick.

I hope I've inflated your odds by a couple of ticks with my comments. LOL. Hey, that's why they call it horse racing. Who knows what will happen.

@The Rock - don't forget Sassy Image, 5 in a row at CD. TD is great and I love the decision her connections made (to stay one turn) earlier in the year but I'd like to see her get one more in before the BC; three months is a bit long for me.

Turbulent Descent - wondered why or where she got that name. Interesting, as i was involved with Air Planes and Airports myself for several years. And threw a few of my own whingdings during turbulence on planes, of course quietly without injury.

She is a treat to watch and i wish her safe trips on planes always and of course on the tracks.

Very nice article. Proves once again you don't really have to spend a million on a young horse. Just need to be up on your homework

and have the right savvy trainer.

Seeing her against Switch going 7f's on BC day would be a treat to watch. They both have this turn of foot at the 3/8th's pole that is just overwhelming. Looks like a West Coast 1-2 in the F&M Sprint this year.
