all of you who have doubted my girl--- hope you have picked those chins up off the floor as well as those torn up tickets. i knew from the moment i seen her that she was gonna take the boys down. although i figured by atleast 5-8 lengths. nonetheless she won me plenty of money on the ex and tri. only won the super after betting 13/all/all/all but it payed way more than the bet cost. dont countt her outta the belmont, just that much more room for her to spread her lead by!!!!!!!

I am torn between Mine That Bird and Rachel Alexandra. I'd like a filly to win but at the same time i would like mtb to win so we could possibly have a triple crown. I mean with Rachel Alexandra shes a clean win, just watching her win the oaks she just blew the rest of the field away but watching mtb come from the very back of field and do all that ducking and diving in and out was amazing. I think it also has to do with Calvin Borel riding Rachel Alexandra, i think she has an even better chance of winning because Calvin is riding her. Either way for me if either horse wins i'll be happy none the less.

1. musket man -- will be closer up early, won't have as much traffic to negotiate when he makes his move.

2. mine that bird -- can't get too far back early like he did in derby if he's gonna win here. thinking his move comes just too late.

3. pioneerof the nile -- consistent as always, might not be quick enough late.

4. rachel alexandra -- think running with the leaders early takes enough to beat her late.

5. take the points -- could sneak in there for placing.

6. papa clem -- bit too much speed here.

7. terrain -- will close, but doesn't look to keep up with top ones.

8. general quarters -- think the well is running dry for him now.

9. friesan fire -- just don't think he's that good

10. big drama -- better chance if 3-16th's shorter.

11. flying private -- not much improvement.

12. luv guv -- doesn't look ready to compete here.

13. tone it down -- brief thrill early.

I've changed my mind on betting the Preakness after seeing Take the Points drop to 14-1.Now I'm just gonna sit back and root for Rachel Alexandra to win.

Supplement all they want and I agree the Belmont is the "Test of Champions". Rachel might very well runaway with this @ Pim, but not @ Bel. For me, it's RA/FF/MM EX & TRI boxes.

I'll root for Mine that Bird and Rachael Alexandra but they won't win. The horse to beat is Papa Clem. I hope they make Rachael Alexandra 3-5. More money for me. She won't be in the top three. She will be bumped and the outside post position doesn't help her. Much faster fractions through out the race she will have to run. She will bounce off her last effort and running against the boys will be tough. Rounding out my exacta underneath Papa Clem are Firesian Fire, Pioneer of the Nile and Musket Man.

Three of the last five Preakness were won by Arkansas Derby winners.

Once again the Assmussen barn must purchase a horse to race in the Triple Crown events. Tell me how a trainer who wins so many two-year old events is so empty when it comes to the Triple Crown races???

Any way you look at it, we are going to find out that the 3 year old fillies are bad, or the 3 year old colts are bad.

I seriously want the Bird to win. I want a TC winner! "Rachel" is a great filly, but all of this hype is annoying. I would feel differently if she had ran the Derby, but she didnt, and all Jackson has done is turn the Preakness into the 'filly -vs- colts' race, which does nothing to help the sport. Everytime this happens, it always ends badly, especially for the filly.

i hoope mine trhat bird wins i wantt a triple crown, it wont be handed to him, but waether might suit him again, he's great, just fantastic. but pioneer is my fav. three year old so i wouldnt mind him winning and i also love rachel shes great, so one of those three, with musket man and general qaurters hot on their tails.

The Filly will win going away and a Fresh Big Drama will be closing. That is my exacta box. I think it may be an off track again, so that cold play into the hands of MTB and FF, but the filly dominated on slop the race before the Oaks, so I see it as no brainer. She is the best horse in the race, period. Just look at her back class, speed figures, and how she looks compared to the other horses she is up against. She is a freak of nature.

Stephi S., no offense, but if it wasn't "fair" to supplement a horse, they wouldn't let them;-) What if you bought a horse that wasn't nominated to a race, e.g. Breeders Cup, and that horse turned out to be the best horse going...you'd be pretty upset that former owners/breeders lack of nominations left you with no way to get in the biggest races in racing!

Take the Points is sitting on a breakout race, with an outside post he will be out of traffic trouble, Back on the dirt with Prado in the saddle they are 2 for 2. I will be laughing all the way to the bank...

I'll root for the girl, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Pioneerof The Nile or Fresian Fire fighting for it.

Regardless of where RA finishes, I'm happy she's in it--Jess Jackson proves himself, yet again, to be a great sportsman. This race is definitely more interesting for having her in it.
