I think he'll come back stronger and better as a 3yr.old than he finished his 2yr.old campaign. Right now though, on conventional dirt, D'Funnybone look's like the horse to beat given how impressive he looked in his prep races for the B.C. Juvenile. He certainly didn't take to the pro-ride surface, but has been very affective on dirt.

I also look for horses that seem to learn and mentally improve in their second and third starts.

Dublin doesn't even have to win the Champagne and he is probably close to graded stakes earnings for the KY Derby now. Wayne can just concentrate in 2010 to get him fit for next year with his Derby preps. I wouldn't go to Gulfstream though, the track there was too fast and hurtful for the horses on the Triple Crown Trail.

I would like to see Dublin go the Arkansas or Louisiana Derby route.
