Ellen Caines hasn’t changed a bit when it comes to horses. “I remember when I was a little girl, my mom and dad would say that wherever we went I could find a horse within a five-mile radius,” she said.

Caines remains as enthusiastic and optimistic as ever about horses, and it shows in the way she goes about her business at Caines Stallion Station near Wynnewood, Okla. Caines owns the farm with her husband, C.L., who goes by Connie.
