Booming state-bred programs lift incoming stallion rosters

THE PURSES AND MONEY available to breeders and owners through the New York Thoroughbred Breeding & Development Funds have certainly increased the value in racing New York-breds and with that has brought an influx of new stallions to the Empire State market. On a smaller scale the same thing is happening in Maryland, where purses and incentives have shifted the flow of breeding stock in the Old Line State from heading out to heading back in.
