Whispering Oaks is a jewel in Cajun Country

TWENTY YEARS AGO the land, untouched by plow or human hand, was in charge: an expense of impenetrable brush tangled with thorns, palmetto, and brambles. Night creatures such as raccoons and possums crawled in the thick under-growth. By day it was a dense forest home for snakes, rabbits, and squirrels.
