Lexington, KY - J. David Longinotti, assistant general manager for racing at Oaklawn Jockey Club, will be the online guest Thursday, January 24 at noon ET for BloodHorse.com's weekly "Talkin' Horses" www.BloodHorse.com/TalkinHorses sponsored by AirShod.com. Prior to joining Oaklawn, Longinotti was a senior account executive at Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods, a Little Rock marketing firm that has represented Oaklawn Jockey Club for more than 40 years.
Before joining CJRW, Longinotti was director of communications at Remington Park race track in Oklahoma City, where he supervised the media relations, television production, fan education, and publications departments. He first joined the DeBartolo Corporation's Racing Division in 1988, serving in several capacities at the newly-opened Remington Park. In addition to publishing the race track's best-selling and most accurate tip sheet, he was assistant director of media relations and taught thousands of new horse racing fans the many peculiarities of playing the ponies.
In 1991, Longinotti was promoted to director of media relations at Thistledown Race Track. He returned to Remington Park in 1994 to serve as director of media relations and was soon promoted to director of communications. Before his direct involvement in the horse racing industry, Longinotti was an award-winning sports writer with the Hot Springs Sentinel-Record.
